I wanted to try a free WordPress contact form plugin. WP Forms Lite seemed very popular – with 5,000 positive reviews. Unfortunately, it comes without any type of spam protection. My contact form was found by the spammers and boy did my inbox suffer. WP Forms Lite is a terrible spam magnet. I’ve now reinstated my trusty Gravity Forms contact form. Gravity Forms ties-in beautifully with Akismet (WordPress’ own anti-comment spam system) and cuts out all contact form spam. It’s not free but content form spam is a terrible time waster. Contact Form 7 looks like a very viable free alternative…
