3D symbol created using the logo as the top material on a simple basic cylinder primitive. Added a couple of bump maps to add depth and texture to the surface. Instanced the symbol to create the stacks. Three-light rig and set the camera with a narrow depth of field for the a more cinematic feel. Rendered lots of variations; different stack combinations/positions, single, tumbling, you get the gist. Usually, a few minutes would generate enough quality for the sizes we needed.
